It seems like there’s another article about how artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the world as we know it every single day. AI is on track to revolutionize countless industries, whether we’re ready for it or not. According to McKinsey and Company, AI will likely automate about thirty percent of hours worked in the US.

That said, it can be challenging to picture just how AI can impact so many industries. After all, hearing it and seeing it is two entirely different things. Read below for a few solid examples of how AI is transforming industries.

AI In E-Commerce

There are so many unique ways in which AI is improving and changing the world of e-commerce. One prime example is personalized shopping experiences. A well-trained AI can curate personalized product recommendations based on the customer’s shopping or browsing history. Likewise, companies can utilize AI to create virtual assistants. These AI assistants can help customers with basic problems — ensuring they get the help they need promptly.

AI In Education

Believe it or not, AI is finding its way into our education system. One example of this is in administrative automation. In other words, AI assists with routine administrative tasks like grading, tracking attendance, and simple inquiries. Another prime example is personalized learning. AI enables teachers to create customized learning materials based on each student’s needs.

AI In Healthcare

AI is changing the way healthcare works — for the better. Because AI can process large amounts of data in a shorter time, it’s being used to analyze medical images (MRIs, X-rays, etc.) to get patient results faster. It’s also being used to monitor and track larger trends in the health industry — including tracking diseases as they spread through a population.

AI In Business Management

When we think of AI in different industries, we usually think of AI in business management. This includes basic automation of admin tasks (repeatable tasks that take time but little else). Another example is using AI to enhance decision-making, as it can identify trends, forecast outcomes, and more.

AI In Finance

AI is working hard to make finance safer and more approachable for everyone. One such way it’s helping is through fraud detection. Since AI can analyze large amounts of data quickly, it’s being used to better understand real customer behavior, which helps identify abnormal behavior (bots, hackers, etc.).

AI In Daily Life

AI has found ways into our daily lives, whether we realize it or not. Consider smart homes, which often utilize AI and IoT (Internet of Things). Another example is autonomous vehicles. It’s AI powering the driving data in these self-driving cars. While there’s a lot of room for improvement here, experts are working hard to perfect the technology.
